Sczcesny and Djourou return, but what happens now?
on April 14, 2011 at 8:02 amIts a great time for Arsene as now he has selection options when picking his team for the weekend. Does he rush back Sczcesny and put Lehmann back on the bench after his great performance at Blackpool? Does Squillaci deserve to be benched in favour of Djourou?
I suppose it raises the age old question with our team. Arsene always says if you play well you don’t get put out of the team. Squillaci and Lehmann both justify their selection at the weekend, but who would you rather have?
I think it’s about time Squillaci got another run in the team, he was solid at Blackpool and I think he’s got it in him to be a great asset to the club. The media and blogosphere alike have been damning in their verdict of him and whilst its awfully premature,

i do not have anything to say over players, but my problem is can arsenal win english premier league this season that is the only available cup now.
Can we do it? YES WE CAN!
i need arsenal to buy player good one
Hi WG,
Thought I would come and take a look!
Like you, I think Squillaci is an OK professional and a decent sort of guy.
The problem as I see it is that he is physically much more akin to a midfield defender. He can be too easily shrugged off the ball when he is matched up against the bigger centre forwards, and perhaps not quite fast enough when pitted against the small skillful ones.
So, yes he is OK, but are there better CB players out there that I would rather have? Then I am afraid so!
Finally, the truth be told he is not getting any younger, and will not get better. Hope I am wrong.
Hi RA, You’re always a welcome sight here!
I know what you mean, he doesn’t have that aggression that perhaps Vermaelen has. Still, as a backup I’m reasonably happy with him whilst Bartley gains experience.
WG
I agree. I have watched Bartley since he came into our youth set up, and upset Fat Sam, and have always thought he had it in him to make our first team.
TV, Djourou, Kozzer with a back up of Bartley, Miguel and the Squidger could be pretty formidable.
Now for a super dooper centref forward!!
Walcott through the middle with RvP behind? Be just like the days of Bergkamp & Wright or Anelka or Henry
4-4-1-1 is the future……kinda
WG
That might work.
My only reservation is that Theo is always injured, it seems. On top of that, he is always so anxious to please he often rushes his shot in front of goal and scuffs the chances he gets.
On the other hand he can also score some beautiful goals.
I saw him play against us for the Southampton youth team and he was immense. He murdered us that day with pace, intelligence and an exquisite shot. He has it in him if he can control the nerves.
d partnership of djourou and kocielny is sweetable
