The last few weeks have flown by. We are surrounded by this media bubble of transfer speculation and hyperbole. Knee-jerk reactions and hot opinions rule the roost in the Blogosphere.

Its time to burst that bubble.

Arsenal play Newcastle away in the first fixture of a very interesting season. Without key players such as Cesc, Nasri, Wilshire we could face a struggle, such omissions would usually lend to a feeling of doubt, of forboding.

Today I feel really positive, there is a new guard coming. Rambo, Song, Wilshire and a Rosicky that looks to be returning to form after a good pre-season.

Arshavin looks invigorated, fit and ready, Gervinho looks a steal and I think will become a massive player for us. His movement especially is excellent. He shows excellent football intelligence and positional awareness.

In Gibbs we have another left-back whose rampaging runs forward match the energy with which he tracks back but importantly he has an end-product.

I expect our line-up to look something like this today (apologies for lack of graphic, I’m out and about at the moment);

Sczcesny
Sagna. Vermaelen. Koscielny. Gibbo

Song. Ramsey
Rosicky
Arshavin. Gervinho
RvP

With the likes of Lansbury, Jenkinson, Fabianski, Chamakh, Frimpong, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Squillaci on the bench.

Considering the notable absences, that is a side that can win a lot of games in the Prem. Bring in Miyaichi, Afobe and new additions and we are looking very strong.

I know people have fallen out with Rosicky, but he is looking good again and the Little Mozart is due another chance to show his quality.

I’d put money on at William Hill, put a tenner on 3:1 to Arsenal and win 150 – I’ve punted on that this morning.

Come on you Gooners, Football Nirvana approaches, bring an umbrella and a healthy dose of I told you so for the doomers!!
