We fought, we competed, we threw the kitchen sink at Wolves yesterday and for 20minutes it looked like we could get a positive result. I cannot fault our application, creativity or decision making. I honestly feel we did enough to win two games let alone one, but for the excellent, yet not surprising form of Wayne Henessey. ‘Keepers always raise their games against us, or is that just the party line?

More importantly it appears we are struggling to finish off the chances we are creating and that means we need to refresh our front line. Get some fresh bodies in there. Ineffectual and off form as he is, start Chamakh and give him a chance to rediscover some form. Strikers don’t score by being wrapped up on the bench and we know he can finish, albeit he has been bereft in front of goal in the recent past.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

As a team we really need to stamp out this rocky patch. Freshen up the lineup with squad players and bring the likes of RvP on, but I suspect Arsene and Robin both want a crack at the goal-scoring record. Sadly, if he doesn’t achieve it I think Robin might get a bit dis-illusioned and we cannot afford to let him go off the boil.

Worrying circumstances indeed from my perspective, fingers crossed eh?
