Or is it elaborate smoke and mirrors from Arsene again?
Much has been made of the imminent arrival of Gervinho, the Ivory Coast Wing-Wizard from Lille. He formed a formidable partnership with Eden Hazard, the young Belgian prodigy and they created havoc and a multitude of opportunities for Sow.
Gervinho’s transfer has caused

Hi again, WG,
Really good and pacey article. I absolutely agree that after we buy x and y there will be much speculation as to who plays where.
I also agree that we should keep Arshavin. He is an unusual and very talented player, so I hope he does not go.
Finally, you have hit the nail on the head re the way Arsenal work in the market. Player’s with big mouths have no hope of joining us, and when we but someone that’s when it will be announced. All these ‘inside’ rumours are guesswork and usually rubbish!
Good one. !
Hi RA,
Thank you as always for your lovely comments. You’re a gent as always

Hi There WG,
I agree with what you said about arshavin, for example, We are 1-0 down to Barca .. Emirates Stadium .. Out of the blue Van Persie equalises.. with only 8 or so minutes remaining .. and we NEED a win.. Nasri plays he ball down the right wing and seems to have over ran it .. he cuts it back to our Little Russian Assassin at the edge of the box .. Arshavin runs at the ball.. Hits it first time.. Curls it into the net with Valdes watching hopelessly as he dive in the opposite direction! ….
Sorry got a little carried away haha.. but the point is clear at the crunch moments we need someone like Arshavin to either work his magic from the start of the match or come of the bench as a Super-Sub and be a hero…
As to Fabregas, I do not understand why some gooners want him to stay.. He is a disgrace to The Arsenal, He has been made Captain and is expected to lead us to victory and show composure, yet he has been captain for only 3 years and has a desire to move to our continental rivals as he has seen no trophies at Arsenal. Where does that leave us Proud Supporters of The Woolwich Arsenal? .. We are still waiting for a trophy after seeing our team lose out on the Carling Cup.. Where was our beloved Captain then? .. He was nursing an injury when he should have been leading us to victory… Where was he on the final gam of the season ? .. He was on holidays, instead of being with his Arsenal Teammates he was probably hanging around with those cunts from Barcelona.. This is not Captain material .. Nor is it The Arsenal way…
As I said he is a disgrace..

Hi Paul,
I can certainly see where you are coming from on the Fabregas perspective. It’s a frustrating situation. I can see why he’d want to return to Barca, but to publicly flaunt it shows a lack of maturity and professionalism.
He owes Arsenal more than that. He owes Arsene more than that.
Lets hope he is still here next year and gets his head in the right place.
