Thing is gooner , we are not convincing up front too . So many games this season we had the lion share of possesion as we often do and we barely mastered a single attempt on target in 90 minutes . We need a killer striker , and thats not Walcott , as well as that strong DM and another LB not to mention goalkeeper . We already have a genius in Cazorla , he needs a top frontman to feed
Disagree with your conclusion. I don’t see Walcott (assuming he stays) developing into a world class centre forward. Wigan showed how a mediocre but disciplined defense can deal with him because he is one dimensional in that position. His strength and his danger come from him cutting in from the flanks and there’s no shame in that; some of the best players in the world, and indeed Gareth Bale, excel in that role. The truth of it is we sold the best number 9 in europe last summer and that is where the gaping hole is in this squad our defense is one of the best in the league , if rather prone to lapses in concentration, so while a midfield “destroyer” would be nice as an option we’d be ok without one (as are Madrid, Man Utd, Dortmund, Barcalona, Spain and Germany.) Demba Ba or David Villa on loan could do a job for us in the short term, but will need investment in a long term solution in the summer. That means Llorente, Lewandowski, or if the club really want to make a statement to fans, players and sponsers, Falcao.
I agree with most of what you have said totally, i was surprised to see Frimpong loaned out i think he has a lot to offer. I am(was) really hoping he was the new Viera , can Diarby do it when fit very possibly . Just think Carzorla, Jack and Arteta in midfield . with someone tough backing them up.

1 more thing Arsenal have always had a world class striker, Ian Wright, Henry , RVP, Edawardo would have been bless him.. 2 of them were arsenals all time top scorers .Its something we must have.
Giroud if you read this don’t think i don’t have faith in you, because i do, i think you can match RVP , you just need to be fearless. The service you will get from our players will see you score many many more then i France good luck.

Need to off load Chamakh, Arshavin, Park and Bentner and have Giroud, Podolski, Walcott and (insert new name) as CF options. In the centre of Midfield we need an additional holding midfielder. I would choose between Yann M’Villa, Nuri Sahin and Sven Bender. Yann M’villa will cost a fraction of what he would have in the summer and providing his head is right would be a good bet. Can’t believe Liverpool are playing Sahin out of position or not at all. Anyone who saw him at Dortmund nows what quality he is and his replacement at Dortmund, Sven Bender, is posibly the best defensive midfielder in the Bundersliga. More likely as a summer signing, I would move heaven and earth to get Matts Hummels in at CB. Best defender in europe right now and a natural leader. this would also give us the posibility of playing three at the back (Vermaelen left side of 3, Koshielnt right side of 3) with Jenkinson and Gibbs as wing backs. Jack W and Coquelin (or Sahin/Bender/M’Villa) as holding midfielders. Total free role for Santi and either Podolski (left side) or Giroud (Large) with Walcott (Little and right) up front. Balanced, powerful and fast. Also another keeper to back up Szczesny. Heard the rumour about the Sunderland keeper – could be a good shout. Finally Diaby, either get fit or go. Sorry, great player when fit but not available enough.
We won’t buy anybody, diaby will be back end of jan just like a new signing! Then out for the rest of the season by mid February. Call me a pessimist but I can’t see us finishing near the top four this year.

Wenger is not bright. He will end up buying average players at an inflated price while Ba who has proven himself at 7.5 is more than a bargain.

Personally, I believe we need some steel at the back, leaking to many silly goals. I like to see Lescott there. Diame in midifield, rate him highly and also cheap!

Wenger sign Villa Permanently he still has a good five years on him, I belive he is better than Rvp anyway. Sign a left back to compete with Gibbs, let Santos go he doesn’t give us some attacki prowers like Gibbs does. A defensive midfielder a natural one Sven Bender is quality. a cetre back that is versatile Mbiwa will be a great signing. Then we can challenge for top three and the next season for trophies
Diame in and Diaby out. Squillachi and Djorou can go and we can look to Stoke for some of their monsters in the back. Chamak out and Ba in. Everyone else is plkaying their heart out. All we need now is depth!
