“The only Arsenal goal came from a deflected shot by Arteta” This seems like a long way away from the goal and and odd way of giving plaudit to someone for a goal. The ball moved around a bit. It was Ramsey’s assist. To start overanalysing it just isnt cricket.
Hi Nick, Thanks for commenting. If you watch the highlights somewhere, you will see that Arteta hit a drive towards the goal, which deflected off Ramsey, fell to Gervinho who stepped inside, passed short to Ramsey who in-turn opened his body well and hit a lofted ball into the box for Koscielny.
I did explain that in the post, with the emphasis being that Arteta took the initiative to have a shot which then eventually found its way back to Ramsey for the assist. I in no way meant to suggest that the assist was Arteta’s and I apologise if it appeared so.
Thanks for reading!!
