The great man Arsene has been mulling over the (albeit temporary) return of Thierry Henry. I would have him back in a heartbeat. If nothing else but for his experience in the dressing room and his desire for the club.

Looking at his performances in the USA it looks like his finishing hasn’t lost its accuracy, though he might not have the legs for 90 mins of Premier League action. A stop-gap yes, a bad decision? absolutely not.

I cannot speak for the Blogosphere but I feel awfully twitchy about our defensive situation. The lack of recognised full-backs is a massive issue. Repeatedly playing Vermaelen out on the left is putting him at considerably greater risk as he never leaves the field without putting his sweat on every blade of grass. Having him fly up and down the left channel exerts greater pressure on his body and I don’t want I’m getting injured, his incredible performances have been a massive part of our return to form.

Fortunately Vermaelen and the rest of the squad get Christmas Day off to chill, enjoy some family time and rest, a treat not enjoyed across the rest of the league due to the Boxing Day fixtures.

Is it time for a Christmas Miracle? With Sagna returning to fitness and ready to play at the end of January, could we still see Arsene gambling and bringing in a left back or a right back on loan? I do hope so, it could make a massive difference.

I think this Squad is a very capable one and we can do good things this season. I am very happy with the additions made in the summer and the changes in the dressing room. There is a different Arsenal out there now, Arsenal 3.0 and I like it a lot. We fight like Adams and co. were back in the side and I love seeing it.

For now, I hope Santa brought you everything you desire and more.
